About AURALIS

We don't just organise treks.

AURALIS EXPERIENCES is a Mumbai-based travel community dedicated to creating unforgettable outdoor experiences across the beautiful landscapes of Maharashtra.

We believe travelling isn't only about reaching a destination. It is about discovering yourself.

We started because the treks we wanted to join did not quite exist. Plenty of operators would put you on a bus at 5am and point you at a hill. Fewer would tell you honestly whether the route suited you, keep the group small enough to actually look after, or notice that you had come on your own and make sure you were not walking in silence all day.

So we built the version we wanted: careful route planning, real briefings, capped groups, and leaders whose job is the person at the back rather than the person at the front.

What surprised us was how quickly it stopped being about the treks. People who met on a Sunday in the Sahyadris started travelling together on their own. That is the part we are proudest of, and it is why we describe ourselves as a community rather than a tour company.

Come as strangers. Leave as family.

What we hold to

Four things we don't compromise on

  1. 01

    The destination is the excuse

Reaching the top is the reason you get out of bed. It is rarely the part people talk about afterwards. What they remember is the person who shared their snack at the halfway halt.

  2. 02

    Small groups, always

A large group cannot be watched properly, moves at nobody's pace, and turns a quiet trail into a queue. We cap our departures even when it costs us bookings.

  3. 03

    Honest routes, honest difficulty

Every trek page states the distance, the gradient and the season plainly. If a route will be hard for you, we would rather say so before you book than at the base of the climb.

  4. 04

    Nobody walks alone

There is a leader at the front and a leader at the back. Falling behind is not a failure — it is expected, planned for, and someone will be there with you.

Meet your leaders

The people at the front and the back

Every AURALIS departure runs with leaders who know the route, brief the group before it starts, and stay with the slowest walker rather than the fastest.

Our leaders provide basic first aid assistance. They are not doctors or paramedics, and we will never describe them as such.

Most people message us the night before saying they are nervous. By the descent they are planning the next one.

Community

Adventure becomes more meaningful when shared.

Many participants join alone. Most leave with new friends. Our groups mix people who have never walked a trail with people who spend every weekend on one — and the walk flattens the difference within the first hour.
