Coming on your own

Joining solo is the normal case, not the exception

A large share of every group books alone. If that is you, you will not be the odd one out — you will be in the majority, standing next to several other people who also spent last night wondering whether this was a strange thing to do by themselves.

  1. 01

You are introduced, not left to it

The base briefing puts names to faces before anyone starts walking. It sounds small. It changes the entire day.

  2. 02

    The walk does the talking

Six hours on a trail is a long time to stay quiet, and a gradient is a great leveller. Most conversations start at the first halt.

  3. 03

Nobody is at the back alone

A leader sweeps the rear of the group the whole way. If you are the slowest that day, you still have company.

Amazing experience. The route was well managed, the trek leaders were supportive, and the entire group felt welcoming.

Garbett Plateau · First-time trekker

Small group, unhurried pace, and nobody was left at the back on their own. Photos were shared a few days later.

Devkund Waterfall · Beginner

Well organised from the pickup onwards. The briefing at the base actually covered what to do if you fall behind, which I appreciated.

Garbett Plateau · Working professional

I joined on my own and spent the whole descent talking to people I had met that morning. The leaders checked in on everyone without making it feel like a school trip.
