What we collect
When you enquire
- Name, phone number, email address
- The trek and date you are interested in, group size, experience level
- Anything you choose to write in the message field
When you book
- The above, plus age
- Emergency contact name and phone number
- Fitness level, and any medical conditions you choose to declare so we can plan for your safety
Automatically
Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) generated by our hosting provider. We do not currently run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this site. If that changes, this page will be updated first.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and confirm your booking
- To contact you about departure details, changes or cancellations
- To reach your emergency contact if something happens on the trail
- To plan safely around declared medical conditions and fitness levels
- To keep basic records of who was on which departure
Medical information
Health information you provide is treated as confidential. It is shared only with the trek leaders running your departure, and only so far as it is needed to keep you safe. It is never used for marketing and is never passed to analytics tools.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Our trek leaders and coordinators, for the departure you have booked
- Transport operators and local providers, where a name or count is required to arrange your travel or permits
- Emergency services or medical providers, if there is an emergency
- Our hosting and messaging providers, as processors
- Authorities, where we are legally required to do so
WhatsApp, Instagram and email
Much of our communication happens on WhatsApp, Instagram and email. Those platforms are operated by third parties under their own privacy policies, and messages you send us there are also held by them. We have no control over that.
Photographs
We photograph groups during treks and may publish images on this website and on social media. If you would prefer not to appear in published photographs, tell a trek leader at the briefing, or email us afterwards and we will remove images of you from anything we control.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept for up to 12 months. Booking and participation records, including emergency contacts, are kept for up to 3 years for safety and accountability, after which they are deleted. Declared medical information is deleted sooner, once the departure has completed and any related follow-up is closed.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it
- Stop contacting you

Cookies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Any cookies present are strictly necessary for the site to function.
Children
Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who provides and consents to the information on their behalf.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting existing bookings will be communicated directly.
