About this trek

What the day is actually like

Harishchandragad is less a single trek than a small world on top of a mountain: a temple complex carved partly out of rock, a cave-cut water cistern, and the Konkan Kada — a concave cliff that curves out over the Konkan like the inside of a bowl. We run it via the Pachnai route, which is the most manageable of the approaches. Even so it is a long day, and the fort rewards people who are not in a hurry.
